Abstract / Introduction
With the increasing use of smartphones, mobile applications have become the preferred platform for food ordering and customization. Customers often face difficulty selecting meals that fit both their taste and budget from fixed menus.This project proposes the development of an Android-based mobile application
called “Make Your Own Platter”, which allows users to create their own food platter based on their budget. The app will enable users to select food items, track total cost in real time, and receive suggestions for optimal combinations within their budget. The system will also include a real-time alert mechanism to notify the website operator whenever a new order is placed, ensuring efficient order processing.
The system will provide a user-friendly interface, making food selection simple, interactive, and efficient.
 

Functional Requirements:
1. User Module
• User enters budget (e.g., Rs. 500) 
• User browses food categories 


2. Food Selection Module
• Display food items with images and prices 
• Add/remove items to platter 


3. Budget Management
• Real-time total cost display 
• Alert if budget is exceeded 
• Suggest alternative items within budget 


4. Order Summary
• Show selected items and total cost 
• Confirm or modify selection


5. Order Alert System
• Customer places an order through the mobile app 
• Order is stored in the database 
• System triggers alert to operator 
• Operator receives notification and processes the order


6. Admin Panel
• Admin views and processes order 
• Login dashboard 
• View incoming orders 
• Manage menu items 
• Update order status 
• Receive instant alerts for new orders
